At Intact, recognizing excellence is an important opportunity to reinforce our values. Each year “Bravissimo” awards are distributed to 4-5 teams across the entire company. The award program is designed to recognize teams that have demonstrated outstanding initiatives in ways that align with our five values and additionally had a significant and lasting impact on the organization.
A few weeks ago IMU’s Seattle team attended the Marine Insurance Association of Seattle’s (MIAS) annual dinner. The event was special for many reasons, but especially because our colleague Sara Farren’s daughter Keira was recognized during the event as one of the recipients of the MIAS college scholarship.
A.W.G. Dewar’s Chairman, Dana Tufts, recently received an award from the National Business Officers Association for Outstanding Support of Independent Schools. This award is given to individuals who have generously supported independent schools and their business officers. Dana quickly noted that the recognition was truly a team effort and that he accepted on behalf of the entire Dewar team. By receiving this award, it shows that the Dewar team has done an exceptional job developing strong relationships with their clients in the independent school industry.
You may remember that we recently featured Priscilla Nguyen in a September post for receiving her CPCU designation. Well, more congratulations are in order for another IMU team member who received their Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Congratulations to Robert Kershis, a Master Underwriter from our New York City office!
Congratulations to Priscilla Nguyen, Underwriting Associate for IMU’s California Inland Marine team for receiving her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Achieving this professional designation requires completion of courses and passing national exams covering topics such as insurance law, history, contracts, property insurance, liability insurance, operations, rate making, and risk management, as well as business courses in finance, corporate structure, and ethics.
