At Intact, recognizing excellence is an important opportunity to reinforce our values. Each year “Bravissimo” awards are distributed to 4-5 teams across the entire company. The award program is designed to recognize teams that have demonstrated outstanding initiatives in ways that align with our five values and additionally had a significant and lasting impact on the organization.
So How Does It Work?
There is an annual two week nomination period where Intact leaders nominate teams. The proposals are then reviewed by a Selection Committee and proposed winners are presented to CEO Charles Brindamour, who finalizes the winning teams. Winners are notified and invited to an all-day leadership development day in Toronto, followed by a celebratory reception hosted by Intact leadership and a presentation of awards by Charles.
Overall, there were 29 nominations and more than 300 employee names submitted for the 2017 Bravissimo Awards (full winner and honourable mention list found below). With this many teams singled out for their accomplishments, selecting the finalists was a challenging task for Charles and the Intact leadership team.
We are pleased to announce that nine OneBeacon employees will be receiving the prestigious award for their outstanding work as part of our “Transition Task Force.” As you know, ten task forces were formed after the acquisition announcement to develop a transition strategy, and map out the details of our future business while identifying opportunities for becoming stronger together.
