Connor Glinski from our Actuarial team, along with Patricia Cadogan and Carole Chiossi from Talent Acquisition, joined a record 600+ attendees at the IABA: International Association of Black Actuaries’ annual meeting in Philadelphia. The event was a great opportunity to connect with aspiring and experienced actuaries, as well as highlight opportunities available for actuaries at Intact. Thank you, IABA for a memorable experience! We’re already looking forward to next year.

Harvesting Hope
For a second consecutive year, our Plymouth Actuarial team handed out fresh produce to the Minneapolis community through NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center. Our team’s time helping NorthPoint set a record for the highest number of guests able to receive food. Intact’s LeeAnn Tomko shares, “working together to package up produce connected us to both our community and our colleagues, so we look forward to volunteering here again soon!”

This Fall, a volunteer experience through the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity brought our Plymouth Corporate – Actuarial and Risk Management teams together to help local people build a place they can call home. The positive effects of habitat ownership ripple to every area of a family’s life (health, safety, education outcomes, and financial opportunity) and the impact extends for generations.
Last week, Actuarial’s Anders Beyer and Caroline Palen joined HR’s Patty Cadogan and Carole Chiossi at the International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) annual conference in Chicago. The IABA is a unique community of both students and experienced actuaries in an environment designed to elevate professional development, powerful connections, and networking. Our teammates hosted a table during the annual Career Networking Event to share the many opportunities for future and experienced actuaries at Intact. This year’s conference achieved an exciting IABA milestone, with a record of 600+ attendants – we are excited to have been part of it!
