Empowering Athletes

In Denver, our teammates partner with the Special Olympics of Colorado (“SoCo”) through our Community Engagement Program. SoCo provides year-round sports training and competitions in 21 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, participate as a team, and experience joy with other SoCo athletes, their families and community. Recently, our Denver team supported and cheered for the SoCo athletes at their State Basketball Tournament. Enjoy these photos from that exciting event!

Igloos in April

Spring weather may be here, but that didn’t stop several of our teammates from building an igloo at United South End Settlements.  Boston-based Jane Crapo, Caimin O’Beirne and Carmen Duarte helped USES’ school vacation-week campers repurpose gallon jugs to construct a warm-weather igloo. USES is the Boston team’s Community Engagement partner, so we look forward to ongoing volunteering throughout 2024!

2023 Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Philanthropic Showcase

As a purpose-driven company that believes insurance is about people, not things, we value generosity and the opportunity to give back to the communities where we live and work. We are honored to be a key partner of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and very excited to be featured in their annual Philanthropic Showcase, a unique resource shining a spotlight on the meaningful ways the insurance industry is dedicated to actively giving back.

Holiday Helpers

Last month, our Boston teammates helped spread holiday cheer across United South End Settlements (“USES”), their local nonprofit partner. From helping with preparations for their family “Winter Wonderland” celebration to assembling nearly 100 kits for gingerbread house construction, it was a busy few days. To wrap-up the pre-holiday week, Ocean Marine’s Anissa Roberts cooked breakfast for the early childhood program’s “Pajamas and Pancakes Day” on December 22. Next up is school vacation volunteering!

Empowering Lives Together: A Community Transformation Update from Our Farmington Office

Four representatives of our Farmington office’s Community Engagement team – Lia Karpicki, Cathy Marshall, Diana Martin, and Michele Stryeski – supported their nonprofit partner, the Chrysalis Center, through attending their annual fundraiser, the Butterfly Bash. The theme of 2023 was “Wings of Transformation.” Everyone gathered together for this special evening to hear inspiring and transformational client stories, while sharing a delicious meal. For nearly 20 years, the Bash has raised much needed funds through donations and an auction to help people spread their wings!
