Plymouth and Boston offices celebrate the holidays virtually

With dancing, drinking and fancy dinners a no-go because of virus concerns, our offices are getting creative about their holiday office parties this year!

From an Ugly Sweater contest and holiday trivia, to Family Feud and wine and cheese tasting – here’s how the Plymouth and Boston offices enjoyed the holidays.

Plymouth: After a brief townhall meeting, the Finance and IIM-US teams played an online holiday trivia game followed by an “Ugly Sweater/Apparel contest”. The winners were Lee Havemeier (1st), Annie Ly (2nd), and Erik Kuch (3rd).

Following this, some of their colleagues from Canada joined the fun and together they did a virtual holiday-themed mixology session!

Finally, the Finance Transformation project team, including a few of colleagues from Canada, gathered to celebrate with a toast, and express gratitude for the great work done by the team this year, especially on the completion of Sprints 1-5. The team also played a hilarious game of Family Feud!

Moreover, each team member was sent a flexible “Gumby” (team mascot) and Chinese floating lantern to be launched over the holiday break to celebrate the end of 2020 and to wish for brighter times ahead in 2021!

Boston: The Boston office employees organized a wine, cheese and chocolate tasting! Mill City Cheesemongers hosted the hour-long event. Each participant was a shipped a bottle of white wine, and few pieces of chocolate and cheese from local stores. On the call, the moderator discussed basics of sensory analysis, flavor profiles, and what it really means when someone says a wine is “dry” or a cheese is “sharp.”

The team followed the instructor in tasting a variety of different combinations and sharing their favorites.

It is great to learn that our offices are making the most of working remotely, and did not let COVID-19 keep them from having fun on the holidays!
