Summer Spotlight Series: Jakob, Eric and Elliot

As some of our interns wrap up their summer with us, we would like to show our appreciation for them with a spotlight! Meet Jakob, Eric and Elliot!

Jakob is an underwriting intern in our Plymouth, MN office. He’s from Plymouth and attends Gustavus Adolphus College. When he started this internship, Jakob was hoping to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the insurance industry to help him better understand his passions and future career interests. He was initially attracted to OneBeacon because he liked the positive energy and passion that exhibited by OneBeacon employees. If he could travel anywhere in the world, Jakob would go to Australia, where he happens to be traveling to next year. When asked what television show he last watched, Jakob said Brooklyn Nine-Nine!

Eric is also an underwriting intern in our Plymouth, MN office. He’s from Owatonna, MN and attends Gustavus Adolphus College along with Jakob. At the start of the summer, Eric was hoping to gain experience and insight in his future career while building relationships at OneBeacn. He chose OneBeacon because he is interested in a career in insurance and quickly connected with OneBeacon employees at a career fair. When asked what television show he most recently watched, Eric said Friends. If he were shipwrecked on a deserted island, he would bring his baseball glove and his trombone!

Elliot is an IT intern in our Salem, Virginia office. He is from Roanoke, Virginia and attends George Madison University. He started this internship with the hope of learning real life coding skills and developing his skills in an industry setting. He chose OneBeacon because a friend recommended the company to him after interning the summer before. A fun fact about Elliot is that he has never been able to touch his toes!

If you see these guys around the office, thank them for such great work this summer!
