With Thanksgiving only less than a week away, the Boston, Canton and San Antonio offices decided to celebrate by hosting some fun and festive events!
Our Boston office hosted a “Friendsgiving” lunch with all of the Thanksgiving favorites, as well as some homemade appetizers and desserts! Weeks prior to the lunch, a bucket was placed in the kitchen for people to write down what they were most thankful for in the office. People were thankful for their great coworkers, the office’s view and the never ending coffee, tea and candy stash!
Additionally, Boston coordinated a Thanksgiving food drive to support the efforts of the Pine Street Inn, a local homeless shelter that provides support and services to those in need. Thanksgiving is their biggest meal service of the year, so the donations will be used for their morning and dinner meal service as well as part of food kits for guests who have moved into permanent housing. Boston works closely with this organization by volunteering in their kitchen at least twice a year, so they were very happy to contribute in any way they could this holiday season.
What’s Thanksgiving without a friendly baking competition, right? A few members from the Canton IT team got competitive in their kitchens this year by having a pie baking contest! Anand Koka, Dina Kantellis, Matt Gregoire, Anita Andreassi, Mary Queeney and Sue Donovan all participated in this yummy challenge, however there could only be one winner. Matt won first place for his peanut butter pie, while Dina placed second for her snickerdoodle pie and Sue won third place for her cranberry apple mini pies. The three other entries included apple, pumpkin and grasshopper pies.
Moving to the southwest, our San Antonio office hosted an office potluck! Every food item included in their feast was homemade. The office enjoyed their meal with some special guests, who said how thankful they were to be included in the celebration.
