There’s no better way to ensure the bench-strength of our industry workforce than supporting schools offering risk management studies! And as luck would have it, right in our Minnetonka backyard sits the University of St. Thomas, which offers a degree in Actuarial Science and boasts several OneBeacon alumni. With a student body just over 10,000 strong, this school is focused on helping its graduates enter the insurance industry from its other disciplines as well, including Finance and Accounting. Recently, its alumni association hosted a golf tournament, which featured a OneBeacon foursome, a small sponsorship from the Charitable Trust and local OneBeacon employees helping staff the event.
