The OBGR team’s fluid communication, flexibility and willingness to help a teammate out resulted in all pistons firing at the perfect time to quickly turn around a quote for a sizable account and unexpected opportunity – and win!
Royanna Carle, Business Development Manager, was presented with the opportunity to quote a city in Michigan – a city OBGR previously been declined due to the inability to be competitive against their current program and pricing. However, with changes in program structure and a significant increase in renewal premium from the expiring carrier, the city was upset and ready to move to a carrier who could offer a comparable program at a competitive price.
Lisa Marsalis, Master Underwriter, went to work and was able to pull together an extremely competitive quote in a matter of days, rather than the typical 2-3 week turn-around time for an OBGR quote. With the agent, Bradley York, Vice President of Business Development, and Royanna exchanged many emails and phone calls to answer questions and refine the quote and landed on a proposal the prospective insured was very pleased to review.
The team’s hard work was rewarded when the city, which had renewed temporary coverage with the incumbent carrier until their council members could schedule a vote, cancelled their temporary coverage and issued a bind order for OBGR’s proposal.
