OneBeacon has been busy these past few weeks, attending multiple conferences across business units. Here is a quick update of where we have been:
May:
The OneBeacon Program Group and Accident Group sponsored the Target Markets Midyear Meeting (TMPAA) morning coffee break, in Baltimore.
OneBeacon Technology attended the Electronic Distribution Show in Las Vegas. Here is OBTI’s President, John Wurzler at the OBTI booth.
April:
IMU’s attended the Satellite Agency Network Business meeting on April 30.
OneBeacon Technology’s Risk Control rep Edgar Germer maned the booth at the recent Pittsburgh I-Day on April 25.
Two weeks ago we held our first Leadership Meeting. 200 of OneBeacon’s managers attended the two day event to hear from many of OneBeacon’s Senior leaders, including CEO, Mike Miller, White Mountain’s Ray Barrette, Executive Vice Presidents Dennis Crosby and Paul Romano, as well as other members of the senior management team and several business unit leaders.
Recently, members from OneBeacon’s International Marine Underwriters and the Technology Group participated in the first Barney & Barney Foundation Golf Tournament in California. The OneBeacon Charitable Trust also sponsored the event, earning the inside front cover placement in the event’s program book.
Recently the Boston IMU office participated in the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Week of Giving. The group (with two Marketing & Communications tag-alongs!) volunteered their time on October 17th and 18th at the Pine Street Inn in Boston.
The group worked in the Inn kitchen, chopping vegetables, making sandwiches, prepping meat and generally helping to prepare for the 2,000 meals a day that the Pine Street Inn serves.
