Welcome to AANHPI Heritage Month

May is celebrated as Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month to coincide with two historical milestones: the arrival of the nation’s first Japanese immigrants (May 1843) and Chinese workers’ pivotal role in building the transcontinental railroad (completed May 1869). To honor the contributions, cultures, and histories of these communities, we offer you several resources below. Additionally, consider exploring the Asian American Insurance Network, dedicated to the professional development and growth of Asian-Pacific Islander (API) professionals in the insurance industry through mentorship, networking, continuing education, and social awareness.

Resources to learn more:

  • Books that provide insight into the experiences of AANHPI people.
  • Explore the history, arts, and culture of AANHPI people in the United States.
  • Films & TV Series that applaud AANHPI heroes.
