Welcome to Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month! This national celebration honors the historical and cultural contributions of the AANHPI people to America. The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the U.S. on May 7, 1843, and the completion of the first transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869 – as the majority of the workers who laid the tracks were Chinese immigrants.
This year’s AANHPI Heritage Month theme is “Advancing Leaders Through Opportunity.” We look forward to sharing insights on the newly launched Asian American Insurance Network, as well as some employee profiles. In the meantime, below are several resources to learn more:
