Last month, the actuarial team attended the 2018 F2F (Face to Face) Actuarial Conference in Quebec! The theme was “Actuaries Without Borders,” which celebrates the talent combination of Intact and OneBeacon.
The event showcased some of the latest projects happening at IFC, in addition to the opportunity to hear some of our senior executive leaders tell us about their visions for our company’s future. Many of our OneBeacon teammates also had the opportunity to facilitate sessions on their areas of expertise.
This was a great opportunity for both sides to come together and meet their larger team. While the conference consisted of mostly team-specific meetings and general sessions, the actuaries split up for group activities one afternoon. It was a chance to get to know one another and take a break from the conference. Some of the activities included hiking, whale watching and a culinary experience! Overall, the actuaries enjoyed this experience and collaboration opportunity, while learning more about their colleagues across the border. Check out some photos below from the conference!
