Recently, we shared news about our Denver colleagues working toward earning their Associate in Claims (AIC) degrees. We’re excited to share an update on their progress and congratulate all four students on passing the first AIC exam in late May! The group will now start the second portion of the four-part AIC series.
This particular group of employees is participating in OneBeacon’s Workers Compensation Claims Trainee program, which includes earning an AIC designation as well as attending training sessions provided by colleagues in various departments. Developed to add distinguished claims adjusters to our company, the program combines educational tools and hands-on learning techniques to prepare representatives for proper claim handling practices and procedure.
Although the program is just beginning, those involved feel it has a promising future ahead. Mark Shrode, WC Claim Supervisor, said “I am very proud of my students and the team building efforts that have taken place. Congratulations to the Englewood WC team!”
