After 43 years with the company, Linda Huffman, a valued member of our Salem-based Operations team, will retire on March 31. Linda will be missed by many as she retires from her role as manager of the @vantage Rating and Clerical Units, Customer Service and Salem Facilities teams.
Linda began her career with the company in 1972 as a member of the former Atlantic Mutual team, while she was earning her degree from Radford University in Virginia. She saw the company through its transition from generalist to specialty, recalling it as a period of interesting change for the organization and her fellow employees.
“Over the years, I’ve enjoyed being part of our dynamic company, and the many opportunities to learn and experience something new,” says Linda.
Though it was a tough decision to leave her “family” here at OneBeacon, Linda says she looks forward to spending time with her grandsons and retired husband. “I love my work, my staff, my peers – life here is good,” she said. “But now it is time to explore the outside world and fulfill my duties as a full-time, committed grandparent.”
