OBTI Risk Control’s Dan Bauman and Norine McVann recently hosted a driver’s safety training course for Eventis, an OBTI insured, in Mankato, Minnesota.
Joined by their producer partners at Wells Fargo, the team managed a seven-station course designed to increase safe driving awareness for their telecommunications client. (OBTI writes Eventis’ workers compensation and package policy program, including its commercial auto coverage.)
Each of the seven “skill stations” were monitored by judges, including Dan and Norine, Wells Fargo Risk Control Consultant Bob Ploetz, and several Eventis supervisors. The course provided the opportunity for more than 50 Eventis drivers to practice slow speed maneuvers in a controlled environment – and even compete for a cash prize!
At the seventh station, or “the money station,” drivers were instructed to position their passenger tire over the face of a $20 bill. The 11 drivers who were able to do so took home a $20 prize!
