IMU’s Jim Galluzzi recently attended and participated in the 118th Annual Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Convention and Trade Show. The convention took place at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa in Destin, Florida May 7-9.
Over 200 independent agents, brokers and companies were represented. The convention included an industry panel discussion with the CEO’s of Auto Owners Insurance, Jeffrey Harrold and EMC Insurance Company, Bruce G. Kelley and the President of Penn National Insurance, Ken Shutts. Some of the topics discussed included cyber liability, the aging talent of the workforce and catastrophe management.
This year’s event also included a golf tournament and a casino and drawdown on the closing night.
