After last year’s tragic events, the running of this year’s Boston Marathon was a symbol of hope and resilience. On April 21, a record number of racers reinforced this message by safely and successfully crossing the finish line—including three of our very own: Paul Newman, Chris Marini and Joe Bowman.
Congratulations to our colleagues, whose hard work and dedication is truly admirable!
- Joe, who works in the Atlanta-based Surety group, qualified to participate as an official racer, finishing the 26.2-mile race in 3 hours and 28 minutes (that’s less than eight minutes per mile). The event marked Joe’s third Boston Marathon and upped his total marathon tally to 118.
- Paul Newman (Admin Services) and Chris Marini (Operations) from our Canton office ran as part of the American Liver Foundation’s Run for Research team. The Charitable Trust supported their efforts for the organization, which raises funds to support the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.
