The Flagship Award is presented annually to the top IMU Region for profitability, growth and teamwork. The winner selects an award that is displayed in their office and this is usually presented by the IMU President, Bob Gallagher. Below is a picture of the regions with their chosen award.
2012 Flagship Award
This year, IMU had co-winners; the Central Region which is headed by John Pierce, Regional President; and the North Pacific Region managed by Dawn Dulay, Regional President.
The Central region had one of the biggest turnarounds in IMU history. “The St. Louis office has been through a sea of changes in the past few years, but we stayed on course in 2012 with a Team Effort, Thinking Like An Owner and Underwriting First”, commented the Central staff echoing the OneBeacon core principles. Dawn Dulay, from the North Pacific regional team proudly stated “The team has been working extremely hard to turn results around and it’s paid off! It’s wonderful to finally have this win for the North Pacific Region”. Dawn joined IMU as the North Pacific regional manager in 2008. Here she is with the rest of the regional team and Bob!
Bob Gallagher, IMU’s president, presented the award in person to both regions. Gallagher said, “I am extremely pleased to see these two regions recognized for their stellar results in such challenging markets. 2012 was a historic year of losses for the marine industry- including SuperStorm Sandy- but these regions made big contributions to IMU’s profitable year.”
