Recently, our Minnesota-based finance team held a team event to welcome new employees to the company and celebrate the substantial completion of the migration of the corporate finance function to our U.S. headquarters in Minnetonka. The event was also attended by Mike Miller and Paul McDonough, who expressed their appreciation, as well as other folks who have partnered with the finance team over the last year as part of the transition.
The group participated in several “friendly competitions”, including some impressive wagering, with all proceeds being donated to the One Fund and matched by the OneBeacon Charitable Trust. Teams competed in lawn games as well as a much-touted triathlon relay event consisting of a canoe, bike, and running race. Afterwards the group enjoyed lunch and speeches from senior leaders. And to top the event off, the group raised and donated a total of $2,500 for the One Fund.
