Recently, Andrew Calara, an IT programmer and analyst for OneBeacon Entertainment based in our Los Angeles office, visited a local community high school to discuss his career. The charter school, located in an underprivileged area of the city, welcomes local professionals to discuss different career paths with students and provide information, inspiration and encouragement regarding work.
Andrew spoke to four classes of students, delivering a 25 minute presentation on OneBeacon and, specifically, his work related to programming and software development. He discussion came complete with a live demonstration of how different interfaces and functions work behind the scenes.
